Where do planets come from?

Even today, with huge advances in astrophysics, many theories about the formation of the solar system are not satisfying to us. Disagreements in details among scientists are still very common. It is probably because the theory that everyone would accept is not on the horizon. Indeed, where do planets come from? We have two general answers as very popular opinions about this question:

Science aspects

However, scientists are not quite sure about that either…Scientists are explaining this in the following way. What they do know is that small stars are surrounded by large discs of dust and gas. Many researchers believe that this material, gradually, either disperses or merges to form planets as Mars or even asteroids. And how this really happens is not entirely clear. The phenomenon called “radical drift”, in which a mass made of gas creates particles that move toward a star, is confused by its simplicity of the possible explanation for how the process of formation could have taken place. According to scientists, this means that the solar system originated from the collapse of dust and gas called “nebula”, hence the term “nebular theory“.

Religion aspects – Does religion view supports science?

As much as scientists have speculated about the theories of the formation of the planets, the theory that God created the world still exists among the human community. For the purpose of this article topic, here are few interesting examples of how the Bible explains the formation of the planets and whole universe:

The Bible Creation Report, written about 3,500 years ago, begins with the well-known words: “God creates heaven and earth in the beginning.” – Today, scientists agree that the universe has not always existed, but that it had its beginning. The Bible says that God created the earth in six “days”. But it does not state anywhere that each of these days lasted 24 hours. In the Bible, the term “day” has multiple meanings of varying lengths. It might be thousands of years.”With my own hands I have crucified the heavens” (Isaiah 45:12). Bible says that God is source of energy and science is talking about energy turning into matter. Most religions have their own versions of how the universe was created. Here, for example, is how Buddhism describes it.

So where do planets come from?

The area of world’s existence is one of the most interesting topics among scientists. Some of them think that religion views support scientific explorations, some not… but the truth is that there is a long path in front of us to bring clear facts about the birth of the planets and the Universe.
